Prices of petroleum products will not change until October
The finance ministry said on Thursday that petrol price in Pakistan will not change in October.
Per liter petrol will cost Rs103.97, kerosene oil Rs65.29 and
light diesel oil Rs62.88, diesel Rs104.6. However, a day earlier it was
reported that petrol prices will decrease slightly.
Sources told on Wednesday that the Oil and Gas Regulatory
Authority (OGRA) forwarded an outline to the Petroleum Division. A small
decrease was expected considering that the government might bring down the
amount of tax levied on petroleum products.
Currently, the government is getting Rs30/liter levy on diesel and
Rs27.32/liter on petrol. Whereas, Rs11.43 is levied on kerosene oil.
